Perplexity provides Mac minis to some to expand AI features for its Mac app

Perplexity sent Mac minis to select tech creators to showcase its Mac app feature, “Personal Computer.”

The feature is an AI browser agent that works with local files, native apps, and the web, but is currently Mac-only.

Creators posted the devices on social media, and the move is being read as classic creator-seeding marketing.

Rising demand for Mac minis as AI devices is also causing some models to tighten in supply and climb in price.
