Google Play at SDCC hosts 'The Auction'—comic book fans like me should be thrilled

Google Play is running “The Auction” at San Diego Comic-Con to boost Play Points engagement.

Attendees can collect tokens for onsite rewards, leading to a final live auction hosted by Quenlin Blackwell.

Fans can also redeem separate digital rewards through Play Points if they can’t attend in person.

The promotion ties Google Play to SDCC fans, games, and collectibles, including brands like MARVEL Strike Force, Crunchyroll, and Backbone One.
