Microsoft is reportedly testing a Windows 11 “Low Latency Profile” that briefly boosts CPU frequency for high-priority tasks.

Early testers say it speeds up app launches and interface responsiveness, making Windows 11 feel noticeably faster.

The feature is part of Microsoft’s Windows K2 effort and is said to have little impact on battery life or heat.

If rolled out broadly, the performance boost could make upgrading to Windows 11 more appealing as Windows 10 support ends.
