Hackers Hate AI Slop Even More Than You Do

Researchers studied nearly 98,000 AI-related posts across cybercrime forums and found a rising backlash against generative AI.

Hackers and scammers complained that AI-generated content was low quality, repetitive, and flooded forums with “AI slop.”

Some users also said AI search overviews were cutting forum traffic and weakening the trust and status dynamics that keep these communities running.

Despite the complaints, interest in using AI for cybercrime remains strong, showing the technology is still reshaping underground activity.
