Intel joins Elon Musk's TeraFab project — 'Intel is proud to join the Terafab project with SpaceX, xAI, and Tesla to help refactor silicon fab technology'

Intel announced on X that it has joined Elon Musk’s TeraFab project alongside SpaceX, xAI, and Tesla.

Intel said its ability to design, fabricate, and package high-performance chips at scale will support TeraFab’s goal of 1 TW/year of compute.

The announcement did not include press releases or SEC filings and gave no technical or contractual details.

TeraFab is publicly described as combining logic, memory, and advanced packaging and is hiring managers to build a greenfield fab in Texas.
