Twitch now supports simultaneous streaming in landscape and portrait, with expanded 1440p streaming and a recap feature for late joiners

Twitch is beta testing Dual Format Streaming, letting creators broadcast horizontal and vertical versions at the same time for better viewing on PCs, TVs, and phones.

The platform is also expanding 1440p streaming to all partners and affiliates, giving creators more high-quality video options.

New stream summaries will help viewers who join late catch up quickly on what they missed.

Twitch also plans improved live-start notifications, with more details to be shared at TwitchCon Rotterdam 2026.
