Reports say the major MacBook Pro redesign will be slightly delayed due to supply chain shortages

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s heavily redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED display, touchscreen, and M6 chip could be delayed until early 2027 because of a global memory shortage.

The new Mac Studio is also expected to slip for the same supply-side reasons, with the delay tied to component availability rather than software issues.

The setback could push back Apple’s major Mac lineup transition and affect product launch planning and high-end Mac sales strategy.

It may also create knock-on effects for related software and ecosystem rollout timing, including next-generation Mac plans.
