note begins automatic multilingual translation for articles; English view via ?hl=en

note started a pilot of automatic multilingual translation for Japanese articles on March 30.

The pilot will sequentially translate up to 100 articles per selected creator, about 20,000 articles total, into English.

note selects target articles mainly based on number of Likes and displays an English version when '?hl=en' is added to the URL.

The company will verify translation accuracy and overseas reactions and plans settings to toggle multilingual support per account or article.

note has partnerships with Google (announced 2025) and KADOKAWA (March 2026) and raised about ¥500 million tied to the Google tie-up.
