Torpedo-shaped drone linked to China recovered from Indonesian waters

A fisherman recovered a torpedo-shaped device believed to be a Chinese underwater drone near the Lombok Strait.

Authorities sent the device to the Navy's Mataram base for analysis.

Initial checks by police and bomb-disposal teams reported no explosives or radioactive materials.

The 3.7m cylindrical device bears markings linked to CSIC and will undergo technical evaluation to determine origin and purpose.
