A rumor from HXL says Intel's Coyote Cove P-cores for Nova Lake may offer higher IPC than AMD's Zen 6 but lower boost clocks.

The report cites prior tests showing Intel P-cores outperformed Zen 5 in SPEC CPU 2017 and suggests Zen 6 could push higher clock speeds on N2P chips.

Spec sheets in the article list Intel Nova Lake with up to 52 cores and 160–320 MB cache versus AMD's Olympic Ridge with up to 24 cores and ~96 MB cache.

Both Nova Lake and AMD Zen 6 are expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
