Apple’s “Passport” iPhone: Why the Ultra Fold Design is Shorter and Wider Than Expected

Apple is reportedly preparing its first foldable iPhone for 2026, possibly called iPhone Ultra Fold, aimed at joining the premium foldable market.

The device is expected to feature an ultra-thin titanium-and-aluminum body, a 7.8-inch inner display, and a 5.3-inch outer screen.

Apple is said to be adding a new hinge to reduce screen creasing, along with upgraded cameras, an A20 chip, 12 GB RAM, and a large battery.

iOS 27 is expected to bring foldable-specific multitasking support, but a late launch and high price may make it harder to compete with Samsung and Google.
