Galaxy devices ditch some image data using AirDrop over Quick Share, fix coming

Galaxy S26 phones can now share with Apple devices through Quick Share and AirDrop, but some photo metadata is being lost.

Users report missing location data, and in some cases lens data is not being transferred either.

Samsung says it is working on a fix and is still investigating the lens-data issue.

The new iPhone-compatible sharing feature is still early, so photo details may remain unreliable for now.
