Chinese robotics company unveils GD01, a mass-producible transforming robot that can carry a person

Unitree Robotics unveiled GD01, a manned transformable robot that can walk on two legs and switch to quadruped mode.

The company shared demo footage on May 12 showing a person riding the robot and the transformation in action.

GD01 weighs about 500 kg and is being positioned as a mass-producible civilian machine.

Unitree said the robot is priced at $650,000, highlighting growing commercial ambitions in humanoid and mobility robotics.
