Freewrite Wants You to Write a Novel in a Month with 50K May

Freewrite has launched 50K May, a month-long writing challenge asking participants to draft 50,000 words in May on any project.

The campaign is being framed as a community-driven alternative to NaNoWriMo, which has been discontinued.

Freewrite says the challenge is designed to support focused, distraction-free writing and build momentum among writers.

The company is also highlighting its writing devices, including the Traveler and Smart Typewriter, as tools for the sprint.
