China’s solid-state EV battery giant validates 400 Wh/kg cell with 1,100 charge cycles

Ganfeng Lithium said its 400 Wh/kg solid-state cell has passed engineering validation after 1,100 charge cycles.

The company also said a 500 Wh/kg-class 10Ah lithium-metal battery has entered small-batch production.

Ganfeng is advancing silicon-based cells as part of a broader push toward higher-energy batteries.

The company plans applications across EVs, drones, eVTOL aircraft, robotics, and consumer electronics.

The milestone signals China’s solid-state battery sector is moving closer to commercial deployment.
