March Steam survey: Intel Arc finally breaks into the charts as AMD and Linux reach record shares

In the March survey AMD reached a record CPU share of 44.1%, with Intel at 55.8%.

Intel Arc entered the main GPU chart after four years; Valve lists it as 'Intel Arc Graphics', likely a laptop/integrated variant.

The RTX 3060 remained top of the GPU chart, with the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 laptop directly below; the RTX 5070 dropped to fifth. RTX 5070 laptop and RTX 5050 laptop are new chart entries.

The RTX 4060 laptop led the March best-performing GPUs among Steam respondents.

Windows 11 share rose by 10.5% while Windows 10 fell 14.8%; Linux hit a record 5.3% (Arch 0.34%). 16GB became the most common RAM in March (32GB down 20.3%, 16GB up 13.5%), and English surpassed Chinese as the most common language.
