Google brings Gemini Intelligence automation to Android

Google is expanding Gemini Intelligence across Android as a system-level AI layer for consent-based automation.

The new layer can handle multi-step tasks in supported apps, summarize and act on web content in Chrome, and improve messaging and form filling.

Rollout starts this summer on newer Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, then extends to watches, cars, glasses, and laptops.

Google says it will include safeguards like user confirmation, live progress tracking, and updated privacy controls.
