Meta unveils prescription-ready AI glasses to bring wearables into everyday use

Meta announced prescription-ready Ray-Ban smart glasses made with EssilorLuxottica to support people who need vision correction.

The glasses start at $499, launch first in the United States, and will sell online and at optical retailers.

Hardware includes a 12MP camera with 3K recording, 32GB storage, eight hours battery life and a case adding 48 hours.

Software offers voice assistance, messaging, navigation, message summaries and hands-free nutrition tracking.
