Hiroshima Electric Railway now accepts WAON for rides, improving transit IC convenience

Hiroshima Electric Railway will start accepting WAON for rides from July 1.

IC card users such as ICOCA will switch from tapping only when getting off to tapping twice, at boarding and alighting, matching MOBIRY DAYS.

The change applies to trams and buses, improving convenience and expanding payment options.

Related operators including Bihoku Bus, Geiyo Bus, Hiroshima Bus, Hiroshima Kotsu, JR Bus Chugoku, and Miyajima Matsudai Kisen are also part of the update.
