Apple Could Add Automatic iPhone Theft Lock Feature

Apple is reportedly testing an upgraded iPhone theft-protection feature that could automatically lock a device if it is snatched.

The system would use motion data, Apple Watch proximity, and location signals to detect a possible theft.

It could also block changes to critical security settings and require Face ID or Touch ID for sensitive apps.

If enabled, the feature could reduce account takeover, data theft, and financial loss after grab-and-go thefts.
