Mercedes-AMG GT EV hits 0-60 in 2 sec, charges at 600kW, and fakes V8 and gear shift sounds

Mercedes-AMG unveiled its all-electric GT 4-Door EV lineup, led by the GT 63 performance model.

The top version targets about 1,153 horsepower, 0-60 mph in around 2 seconds, and a 186 mph top speed.

It also supports ultra-fast 600kW charging and an axial-flux motor setup for high output.

AMG is adding software-driven V8 sound simulation and fake shift effects to preserve a traditional sports-car feel.
