TikTok announces €1 billion investment to build second data center in Finland

TikTok will invest €1 billion to build a new data center in Lahti, Finland, its second €1 billion project in the country.

The company is also continuing work on another facility in Kouvola under its €12 billion Project Clover.

The expansion will strengthen TikTok’s European data infrastructure and help localize user data.

It could also improve compliance with GDPR and lower regulatory risk while supporting data storage for millions of European users.
