Spy photos over the May Day holiday showed Xiaomi’s next extended-range SUV in near-production form.

The larger, boxy family model appears to be based on the SU7/YU7 platform and uses a range-extended drivetrain.

Reports suggest Xiaomi may launch it without the Xiaomi logo and under a different brand name, possibly not YU9.

The sighting points to Xiaomi’s second-car strategy, including branding, positioning, and scale for a family-focused SUV.
