Raspberry Pi raises some prices amid memory surge, adds 3GB Raspberry Pi 4

Raspberry Pi announced price increases for some products and introduced a new 3GB Raspberry Pi 4 priced at $83.75.

LPDDR4 memory used in recent models has risen sevenfold in the past year, prompting the change.

Prices for 4GB models of Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 rose by $25, and the Raspberry Pi 5 16GB model rose by $100.

Lower-memory and older models such as Raspberry Pi 400, Zero, and 3 keep their current prices.

The company said the April 1 announcement is genuine and may reverse increases if memory prices improve.
