Improving Smart Tiered Cache for Public Cloud Regions

Cloudflare updated Smart Tiered Cache to better support public cloud origins on AWS, GCP, Azure, and Oracle Cloud.

Customers can now provide a cloud region hint, letting Cloudflare map the origin to the right region and pick better upper tiers.

This reduces ambiguity from anycast or regional unicast front ends, which could previously lead to poor tier selection.

The change improves cache efficiency and origin performance while reducing extra cross-region traffic.
