Final Fantasy XIV Online is coming to Switch 2 as new expansion Evercold revealed

Square Enix announced Evercold, the sixth Final Fantasy XIV expansion, launching in January 2027 and kicking off the Godless Realms Saga.

The expansion will add new jobs, a higher level cap, fresh content, and a redesigned combat and progression system.

Square Enix also confirmed Final Fantasy XIV Online will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in August 2026, with early access testing beforehand.

The move brings the MMO to a new platform while setting up a major next phase for the game.
