Video: US firm debuts 5.7-pound throwable recon robot with live thermal vision

Teledyne FLIR Defense unveiled the FirstLook 125, a 5.7-pound throwable reconnaissance robot for special operations.

The compact robot can self-right after drops, navigate rubble and stairs, and stream video, thermal imagery, and audio.

It is designed for rapid deployment into hazardous or obstructed areas to improve situational awareness before personnel enter.

FirstLook 125 can also be operated with the Black Hornet 4 drone using the same controller, simplifying small-team surveillance.
