Boston Dynamics and Asylon unveiled DroneDog, a Spot-based security robot built for autonomous and remote-monitored patrols.

The system can operate 24/7, recharge at docking stations, and use encrypted communications over LTE mesh networking.

DroneDog supports site surveillance, asset tracking, and AI-assisted threat detection with thermal and electro-optical cameras.

The launch highlights how robotic security tools are moving into real operations to expand coverage and reduce manual patrol work.
