BMW is one step closer to selling you a color-changing car

BMW unveiled the iX3 Flow Edition at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show.

The concept embeds an E Ink Prism panel into the hood, enabling selectable animations and color changes.

Compared with earlier full-body E Ink concepts, the design is more durable and easier to manufacture.

By moving E Ink into a structural body panel, BMW is bringing a color-changing car closer to mass production.
