Intel joins Musk's Terafab project

Intel announced it will help design, fabricate and package chips for Elon Musk's Terafab in Austin, Texas.

Terafab, announced in March 2026, aims to produce 1 terawatt per year of compute and involves SpaceX, Tesla and xAI.

Intel recently launched the Core Ultra Series 3 and received US government investment in August 2025 while still ramping two Arizona fabs.
