Huawei Says It Has Connected 170 Million People in Remote Areas Across 80+ Countries

Huawei announced at its TECH Cares Forum in Barcelona that it has connected 170 million people in remote areas across more than 80 countries.

The company said this result exceeds its 2022 pledge to the ITU Partner2Connect Digital Coalition to connect 120 million people by 2025.

Huawei highlighted programs such as Skills on Wheels and the RuralCow solution, and said it will continue pursuing rural network innovation and skills training with partners.
