Nvidia Pascal GPUs debuted 10 years ago, led by the Tesla P100 and GTX 10-series

Nvidia launched the Tesla P100 and the Pascal GPU architecture ten years ago, targeting hyperscale data centers.

Pascal used 16nm FinFET, HBM2 support, and claimed large gains for neural network training versus Maxwell.

The architecture later appeared in consumer GeForce GTX 10-series cards, including the GTX 1080, GTX 1060, and GTX 1080 Ti.

Pascal GPUs were removed from new Game Ready drivers but will receive security updates through October 2028.
