Proximus launches 5G+, Belgium’s first standalone 5G network

Proximus launches 5G+ today — Belgium's commercial name for 5G Standalone.

It is the first Belgian operator to offer a fully standalone 5G network commercially.

Business customers on Mobile Connect or Together Mobile get access first; rollout is phased.

Residential customers and small businesses will follow starting this summer; eSIM support will be added.

5G Standalone uses a cloud-native core for better peak stability, improved SIM encryption, VoNR and network slicing potential; Proximus covers 92% now and aims nearly full coverage by end of 2026.
