Android Auto Is Getting a Big Makeover for 2026

Google is overhauling Android Auto and Google built-in cars for 2026 with a redesigned Material 3 interface.

The update adds widgets, immersive 3D navigation, expanded Gemini features, and richer dashboard/vehicle info.

Google is also bringing better media support, including HD video playback and Dolby Atmos in compatible cars.
