Ayaneo’s new handheld revives the Game Boy Advance. Nintendo probably wishes it had done it first

Chinese handheld maker Ayaneo unveiled the Konkr Pocket Advance, a modern take on the Game Boy Advance’s horizontal design.

The device adds a sharper display, extra controls, USB-C, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, microSD support, and a headphone jack.

Ayaneo says it will launch later this year in two colorways, but pricing and an exact release date are still unknown.

The reveal underscores strong demand for retro-style handhelds that Nintendo itself has largely not pursued.
