Security Bite: Trojan malware dominates Mac, now half of all detections, says Jamf

Jamf's Security 360 used anonymized data from over 1.4 million Macs across 90 countries.

The report covers the prior 12 months in 2025.

Trojans made up 50.32% of Mac malware in 2025, up from 16.61% in 2024.

Atomic Stealer (AMOS) accounted for 77.08% of trojan activity and 78.49% of infostealer detections.

The trojan category overtook infostealers to become the top malware type in Jamf’s 2025 report.
