NASA Astronaut Suddenly Couldn't Speak in Space, And Doctors Don't Know Why

Astronaut Mike Fincke suddenly lost the ability to speak during a January 7 meal aboard the ISS and the episode lasted about 20 minutes.

His crewmates summoned flight surgeons and used the station's ultrasound before he and others were returned early on a SpaceX Dragon on Jan. 15.

Doctors have ruled out a heart attack, and NASA is reviewing other astronauts' medical records to search for related incidents.
