Humanoid robot surpasses human world record in Beijing half-marathon, clocking 50:26 mins

At Beijing’s second humanoid robot half-marathon, Honor’s Lightning won the autonomous category in 50:26.

A remotely controlled version of the same robot set the fastest overall time at 48:19.

The race drew 100 teams and 300 robots from 26 brands, with many entries far improved from last year.

The results highlight rapid gains in humanoid robots’ balance, navigation, and endurance.
