Google's icon overhaul is finally here, but not everyone is happy about it

Google is rolling out redesigned icons for Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, Keep, Gmail, Calendar, Meet, and Drive.

The new look uses a more playful Material 3 Expressive style and tones down some of Google’s traditional color usage.

Updated icons are already showing up in parts of Chrome and some web app favicons.

The redesign has drawn mixed reactions, with some users liking the clearer differentiation and others criticizing the new look.
