YouTube Adds New Tools To Make Creating Thumbnails Easier

YouTube rolled out new thumbnail tools for creators, including support for custom Shorts thumbnails for Partner Program members.

Creators can now edit thumbnails retroactively in YouTube Studio and pick from three suggested frames on desktop.

YouTube is also testing AI-generated thumbnails through Ask Studio.

The update gives creators more control over how content appears in feeds and search while expanding YouTube’s AI creative tools.
