macOS 26.5 now available, here’s everything new

Apple has started rolling out macOS 26.5 to supported Macs, and the update is mostly a maintenance release.

Visible changes are limited, with a new power control setting for some desktop Macs and a few system-wide refinements.

Apple also added broader platform updates, including progress on RCS end-to-end encryption, Live Activities support, and Apple Maps Suggested Places.
