Google might say no more to Android rollbacks on the Pixel 10 with a patch

Tipster Mystic Leaks, via Android Authority, reported Google is working on a bootloader patch to block downgrades.

The patch is reportedly intended for the Pixel 10.

It would increment the bootloader's anti-rollback version, making downgrades nearly impossible.

Google previously used anti-rollback on the Pixel 6 series and once updated a bootloader to stop downgrading from Android 13 to 12.

OnePlus had a similar anti-rollback measure in the past but later walked it back.
