Samsung forgot to mention one of the Galaxy Watch 9's biggest upgrades

Samsung is extending software support for the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 from four to five major Wear OS upgrades.

Both smartwatches will also keep getting five years of security updates, with support stretching to around 2031.

The watches launch with Wear OS 7 and One UI 9, powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite.

The longer update window should make Samsung’s latest wearables more competitive and extend their useful life.
