Motorola suddenly raises budget phone prices up to 50%—you can probably thank AI

Motorola announced the 2026 Moto G Stylus mid-range phone.

Motorola enacted price increases of up to 50% across the 2026 Moto G lineup.

Before the changes G Play was $180, G $200, and G Power $300; G Play rose by $250 (38%), the Moto G went to $300 (50%), and Moto G Power is now $400 (33%).

The hikes place the Moto G range near Samsung’s mid-range phones and about $100 below the new Stylus; the Stylus’s higher price reflects current hardware conditions.
