Google says it fixed more Chrome bugs in June than over the past two years, thanks to AI

Google says its internal AI helped fix 1,072 Chrome security flaws in the two June releases, topping the 1,036 fixes from the prior 23 versions over two years.

The company says AI is speeding up vulnerability discovery and patching, making security work faster and more scalable.

Microsoft and other firms are making similar claims, suggesting AI is becoming a key tool for finding and fixing software bugs.

The trend could improve browser security, but it may also change the balance between defenders and attackers in bug discovery.
