This Android feature could put your notifications on autopilot

Android is already far ahead of iOS in how it handles notifications.

You can take quick actions from alerts and mute specific notification types for individual apps.

Google appears to be adding a 'Notification rules' feature, with related strings found in the Android 17 beta.

Rules let you choose actions such as Silence, Block, Silence & Bundle, Highlight, and Highlight & Alert to manage alerts.

Examples: silence and bundle a noisy WhatsApp or Google Messages group, or set Highlight & Alert for texts from your wife; third‑party apps like BuzzKill offer similar features.
