NVIDIA officially ends its 20-year 'Control Panel' service... major overhaul of GeForce management system

NVIDIA has completed the migration of key GeForce features into the latest NVIDIA app, effectively ending support for the legacy Control Panel in Game Ready and Studio drivers.

The old Control Panel will not be removed immediately, but it will no longer receive new features or fixes; RTX Pro Control Panel support remains separate.

The move simplifies graphics settings and driver management into a single app, marking NVIDIA’s software stack shift toward the NVIDIA app on Windows 11.

The change affects GeForce users, while RTX Pro users keep their dedicated control panel support.
