A scam is rampant on Facebook that steals other people’s content and hijacks rights by “editing old posts and uploading them”

A copyright fraud scheme on Facebook abused post editing and Rights Manager.

Bad actors stole others' content, then edited older posts to make it look like they had published first.

That tricked Meta's tools into treating the fraudsters as rights holders, blocking legitimate creators' takedowns and monetization.

Several creators have reported harm, and the Delhi High Court has issued evidence preservation orders.
