Video: Atlas humanoid robot learns soccer skills from World Cup game footage

Boston Dynamics showed Atlas learning soccer moves from World Cup footage in a new demo.

Atlas copied ball control, weight shifting, drills, and even celebratory and injured-player gestures.

The company says the robot’s progress shows better balance, coordination, and adaptive control for real-world tasks.

Boston Dynamics also said Atlas and Spot could appear at the 2026 World Cup.
