Meta has started a limited test of an AI chatbot account on Threads in several countries.

Users quickly objected because they cannot block or fully opt out of the @meta.ai account.

The issue turned into a trending complaint on Threads, with many calling it a privacy and control problem.

Meta says users can mute the account or mark it as “not interested,” but it has not addressed the block concern directly.
